I love sessions where we just wander around taking photos, and I especially love doing this in the city.
Rob and Alicia had married not long before our session, but they were leaving Sydney (their home of the past few years) to travel the world, and they had a plan to have wedding photos in various countries as they went. With Alicia’s dress arriving a day or so earlier, they made the quick decision to start in Sydney before they left. Rob reached out on a Friday afternoon for a photographer (and found me) with the elopement-style session to be scheduled before their departure on the Monday morning.
I love planning adventures, and it felt a bit adventurous.
Sunday was the only day I could shoot, and they could only do the morning, and a decent amount rain was predicted. A morning start in the CBD meant a pre-dawn wake-up for me, so imagine my delight when I crossed the Harbour Bridge and saw these crisp sunny skies, and because of the rain prediction, nary a soul to be seen aside from us.
I asked them if they danced. They said “not really”.
Sydney was perfect.
Rob and Alicia were perfect.
My India was a perfect assistant.
Makes me smile.
