Siobhan was moving from Rylstone, in central west NSW, to Newcastle on the coast, so she put her place up for rent. Digby, looking for a change of scene from flying in the NT, was keen to rent her place. As Digby tells it, “she just never moved out”. Two months later, Digby was offered a posting to Canada, flying choppers, and Siobhan followed him over there, working on a ranch for a couple of years. When they returned to Australia it was to Rockhampton, QLD, where they now live and are raising their beautiful daughter, Scarlett.
Their wedding was a country-style celebration, with everyone in cowboy boots, wheat making up the mens’ boutonnières, sunflowers, and a roast dinner. The ceremony and reception were held at Rockhampton Heritage Village, which I loved as a backdrop – the heritage buildings and memorabilia was so fun to shoot with.
Check out Siobhans choice of red wine bridesmaid dresses teamed with the sunflower bouquets. It was the most stunning colour-pop!
Many thanks to Sonny for tagging along as second shooter, and occasional pack-horse.
